About This Project

The RED CIRCLE project was conceived as a multi-step process: hundreds of white circles were placed on a white and black panel. The red circle indicates a center and the intention to put the creativity at the center of your time for a while.

During an open workshop, adults and children could visit Thierry Sablon’s sculptures inspired by circular shapes and customize by drawing or painting one or more circles. All the final circles were then collected and used to artistically decorate a disused chair and table recycling office materials.

The final result was a tribute to people’s spontaneous creativity and it was installed in the Culture area of the Municipality of Etterbeek, Brussels
